Interfaith Hospitality Network
Community Outreach:
Raleigh Court United Methodist Church participates in the Interfaith Hospitality Network.
Missionaries:
Our United Methodist missionaries to the English-speaking church in Vienna, Austria are Robert and Lillian Hunt. Our funds are used to provide a refuge in Austria for Eastern Europeans.
Roanoke Area Ministries:
We collect food for the RAM House.
Salvation Army:
Annually, we dress dolls and bears for distribution at Christmas. We also fill stockings for children.
Arts On A Mission:
The store at Tanglewood Mall is staffed by volunteers and helps support the new clinic at the City Rescue Mission. We provide volunteers.
Children's Outreach Program:
Each month a different group within our church provides a meal at Trinity United Methodist Church for the inner-city children.
UMCOR:
We respond to calls throughout the year from the United Methodist Committee on Relief with donations. Requests include health kits, layette kits, clean-up kits, and school kits.
Heifer Project International:
Through our Sunday School classes, the children have supported this interfaith organization that provides animals and other assistance to rural families all over the world.
Henry Fork Service Center:
Our Campbell's Soup lavel collection helps the Henry Fork Service Center minister to children in Franklin County.
Habitat for Humanity:
The United Methodist Men sponsor our collection of funds to help build a Habitat house.
Society of St. Andrew:
With our volunteers and funds, we support the Society of St. Andrew Potato Project which salvages millions of pounds of potatoes and other products, and distributes the food to people in need nationwide.
